“The Palamós walkway is one of the infrastructure works that gives continuity to the coastal path. It links the area of Les Pites with that of Cala dels Pots, in the enclave of the Morro del Vedell viewpoint. This completes the remaining connection to give linear continuity to the entire route of the coastal path, which is 3.5 kilometres long.”
“More than a simple walk, with this walkway we find the experience of walking through the landscapes it shows us and takes us into the maritime world. Through its wooden pavement and semi-transparent anti-fall protection mesh, the infrastructure invades the landscape as little as possible and fits into the slope like a glove.”
“During the experience you will walk along a walkway anchored to the ground, showing you the harbour life until you reach the bridge where the walkway continues along the landscape, with rest stops and strategic panoramic points to admire the view.”
“To be able to adapt the walkway along its course, the first section was built anchored to the rock using a system of steel anchors, bolting it to the slope. Halfway along the two aerial sections, there is a bridge that gives continuity to the walkway with a steel structure, micropiles and reinforced concrete foundations. At the end of its axis we walk over a widening of the pavement forming a viewpoint anchored to the rock by bolting to the slope, to take a rest and see the spectacle of the port and the Cala del Morro del Vedell.”
